Job Description – Talent and Learning Consultant

This role reports directly to the leader of Client Enablement and Executive Development Solutions and will partner directly with Senior People Partners to define and implement the talent management strategy and practices for the business with a focus on diverse senior leader talent succession, movement, and development. 

  • This role is open to all AMS HP geographical locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the senior people leaders, create, own, and drive a clear and concise talent and learning strategy that supports business outcomes and is aligned to the enterprise approach
  • Leverage talent data and insights to assess and define the leadership skills, capabilities, and experiences needed to drive business outcomes now and into the future
  • Partner with business and people leaders to facilitate executive succession discussions, visibility, and enable strategic executive appointments
  • Apply talent management expertise, best practices, and knowledge of T&L strategy and portfolio to guide solutions and effective talent decisions
  • Support the execution of key T&L processes and programs through coaching, consultation, and thought partnership
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the T&L team and the people organization and business, sharing insights to help inform talent and learning offerings and solutions that best support business needs

  • Influencing without Authority – ability to build effective relationships from peers to C-suite executives, demonstrate expertise to establish credibility and trust, and exude a strong executive presence through confidence, professionalism, and effective communication

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge, skills and experience in the execution of talent management initiatives 
  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of organization strategy
  • Ability to advance work with autonomy and through ambiguity with a bias for prioritization, alignment to strategy, creativity, and action

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s in business and/or human resources related discipline; Masters in OD, Organizational Psychology, HR or business strongly preferred
  • Experience in Human Capital, Talent Management, OD or HR consulting
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management and program management
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with and advising Directors and Executives in a dynamic, matrixed, global environment
