In need for a Refrigeration / Utilities Technician in Indianapolis!

Job Description

Our Refrigeration / Utilities Technician will primarily be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our Ammonia, HVAC systems, and Facility. Key duties include working with associated equipment such as chillers, boilers, condensers, water towers, evaporators, heat exchangers, compressors, and cooling systems. The successful candidate will also perform preventative maintenance schedules, record data such as temperatures of equipment, hours of operation, pressure, and water levels for tracking system, and use the SAP system to complete PM's around the plant. We are currently looking to fill 1 Tech Level 1 position and 2 Tech Level 2 positions (OR 3 Tech Level 3 positions). Tech Level 1 is an entry level position and is perfect for mechanically inclined individuals with a great attitude and work ethic. Initial responsibilities will involve facility maintenance and training to level up into a Refrigeration Tech.

Hard Skills

2-3 years of refrigeration or ammonia experience

Universal HVAC Certification

Experience working in a USDA, FDA, OSHA or GMP compliant environment

Soft Skills

Mechanically inclined

Great attitude

Strong work ethic

Work Environment

This position is based in a temperature controlled, fast-paced environment with many moving parts where safety is key. It is FDA regulated, requiring the use of hair nets and beard nets. The shift pattern is nights (6:00pm to 6:00am), 4 on and 4 off (4X4). Training will be provided during day shifts. A 50 cent shift differential applies.

Must Haves:

2 years of HVAC or Ammonia exp

Universal / HVAC certification

FDA or GMP exp.
