Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated and manual tests to ensure application quality and accuracy, while also identifying issues and resolving defects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and experience in test automation tools, UI and API testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation scripts to test web applications and API endpoints using test automation frameworks.
- Design and develop manual test cases to test web applications and API endpoints.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
- Execute automated tests, analyse, and report results, and work with the team to resolve defects.
- Participate in the review and improvement of test processes and methodologies and provide recommendations for automation and tooling improvements.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure continuous integration and delivery processes are in place and functioning effectively.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, attend daily stand-up meetings, provide feedback, and contribute to sprint retrospectives.
- Keep up to date with new testing tools, techniques, and technologies to improve overall testing quality.
- Work on a web application that is highly visible to customers and relevant to our reputation, and you will keep the necessary calmness and a consistently high level of quality even in critical project phases, and you will make a significant contribution to finding solutions through your methodical and technical knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance: UI and API test automation.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Postman, Newman, or equivalent.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, WebdriverIO.
- Experience with CICD tools like TeamCity, GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong desire to learn and stay up to date with new technologies and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge in common web application technologies.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Preferred:
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust.
- German at B1 level or higher is appreciated.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
