Bell Labs Internship - AI/ML Service Automation in Networking Systems

The intern will join the Network Automation research department at Nokia Bell Labs France. As an Internship Program participant, they will work closely with experienced researchers and doctoral students in a supportive research team. The role is focused on AI/ML service automation in networking systems, specifically on the automation of AI/ML management operations (AIOps/MLOps). The intern will design, contribute to the architecture, and set up proof-of-concepts for these operations, integrating existing and open-source software. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Design and develop AI/ML solutions for networking systems
  • Contribute to the design of new architectures and procedures
  • Set up Proof-of-Concept to demonstrate the solution
  • Collaborate with Nokia Bell Labs researchers on AI/ML application to networks
  • Automate AI/ML management operations in networking systems
  • Integrate existing software and open-source software
  • Present and showcase the implemented solution and innovations
  • Work with diverse execution targets and heterogeneous environments

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Strong understanding of Linux and virtualization concepts
  • Knowledge of AI/ML principles
  • Experience with Micro-Services architecture
  • Familiarity with Cloud and virtualization
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills in English
  • Hands-on experience with Machine Learning (ML) is a plus
