Division Profile:

Corporate and Institutional Solutions (C&IS) is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management comprised of Corporate & Digital Solutions, Morgan Stanley @ Work, Virtual Client Solutions, Reinvestment, and Strategic Client Management. The overall goal and vision of C&IS is to create a corporate experience and a consistent corporate employee (“participant”) experience and to engage them throughout their financial life journey that will ultimately lead to a furthering and deepening of their Morgan Stanley Wealth Management relationships.

Position Summary:

This individual will be an enthusiastic, outgoing individual who will be overseeing the Shareworks Billing Operations team responsible for customer collections activities across several Solium and Morgan Stanley billing entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Team responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Perform collection activities for any customer balances past due.
  • Maintain collection notes for all activities including email correspondence, payment commitments and escalation to AR Manager or customer Relationship Managers for assistance.
  • Perform customer account investigation of payment applications. Communicate with clients to ensure records are aligned and as needed coordinate adjusting entries for refunds, journal entry adjustments between entities or different accounts where misapplications have occurred. 
  • Assist with customer communications for annual W9 forms, banking, and entity changes.
  • Back up for daily management of AR@ central email for client communications; remittance details, requests for further information, completion of forms, sending of documents [banking details, ACH forms, W-9] or routing of question or disputes to team members across billing team for resolution. Ensure timely handling, escalation, or redirection of all requests. 
  • Other general duties supporting the teams such as special projects and system testing as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 10-15 years’ experience in Accounts receivable and collections.
  • Experience managing a team and executing on the team’s key responsibilities.
  • Accounting diploma considered an asset.

Required Skills:

  • Proven customer service skills: ability to balance internal and external client requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, aptitude for working with numerical information.
  • Past success with effective team management and prioritization of tasks.
  • Ability to train associates on the systems and processes of accounts receivable.
  • Fast & accurate data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness with both oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated competency with common technology and technical concepts, including but not limited to email, internet, Excel and Word, Accounting Systems/ERP.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing learning and training opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Take accountability for all tasks assigned.
  • A deep belief in team success, collaboration, and a willingness to adapt to continuous change.
