Overview

This position is key to developing and driving the global design and strategic plan for GBS Media Solutions. This role supports the GBS Media Portfolio Lead to

  • Define and prioritize the functional processes and capabilities to be transitioned/built and subsequently delivered by PepsiCo GBS.
  • Create a strategic planning roadmap, ensure on time transitions, and oversee and track value (productivity, investment, etc.) to ensure we achieve our AOP
  • Drive the evolution of the GBS Media Solutions capabilities by delivering the business objectives established by the Portfolio Lead and build relevant design for the vision set by the PepsiCo Global Media & Digital transformation team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Design Media Planning and Operations global capability

  1. Own the delivery of a Global Design Plan for GBS Marketing capability portfolio; A plan which clearly articulates the work to be transitioned to Global Business Services and the associated business value (financial/Non financial)
  2. Align Global Marketing organization to the GBS scope of work
  3. Lead consistent adoption of the media capability catalogue
  4. Influence consistency in operating models of media across senior stakeholders in the organization & build a framework of what we will own vs operate across the media value chain, to drive maximum leverage of our agency partners as well as highly skilled internal media teams.
  5. Design effective ways of working and reduce redundancies & duplication across Media Capabilities
  6. Manage the GBS change/transition/communication day-to-day activities for rolling out the new roles and new structure in GBS. Gain access to SME’s and their involvement in GBS recruitment, KC/KT and gate approval process; key GBS partner to address roadblocks, and identifying solutions
  7. Work with sector/business partners to identify scope for transition, SME’s involved, SLA’s/OLA’s (with capability leads), governance model, ensure the GBS services addresses specific business needs
  8. Develop accurate and timely reporting for both Design Plan & Improvement Plan performance analysis for the GBS Media capabilities
  9. Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends shaping GBS and our business
  10. Partner with other strategic sector workstreams, to ensure Design approach is aligned and consistent with PEP transformation initiatives
  11. Manage all internal and external relationships and partner with Sector CME Design leads in support of the creation of the plan. Collaborate with Sector Design Leads to pace incremental scope (pipeline).
  12. Create and execute the stakeholder alignment programme to deliver both customer understanding of the rationale for change and the value of change.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in media planning and buying, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a CPG, FMCG, or related industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global media strategies across multiple channels and markets.
  • Strong understanding of media landscape, including traditional, digital, and emerging channels.
  • Experience managing media teams, cross-cultural teams and global capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in using media research and analytics tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity & a complex problem solver who can define, assess, and solve, and communicate back to leadership in a clear and concise fashion
  • Solid organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once delivering strong, detailed execution

  • Be a credible advisor to senior stakeholders across media, brand, and agency teams for identifying, profiling, and developing media designs opportunities that unlock media effectiveness, efficiency & drivers of growth.
  • Operate as the commercial face of Media in GBS to the business across all sectors.
  • Elevate the impact of the GBS Media function and outputs by challenging the way we’ve done it in the past, by delivering clear, thoughtful operating models that drive effective delivery of Brand AOPs
