Position Overview
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding.

Team
As part of one of the internationally staffed, agile teams of the Private Bank One Data Platform, you will be part of the "TDI PB Enterprise & Data" department. The focus is on developing and delivering different solutions in data warehousing, reporting and analytics for the Private Bank to ensure that necessary data is provided for operational and analytical purposes.
The PB One Data Platform is the new, strategic data platform of the Private Bank and uses the Google Cloud Platform as a basis. With Google as a close partner, we are following Deutsche Bank's cloud strategy with the aim of transferring a significant proportion of today's on-prem applications to the Google cloud platform or building new ones there.
As Scrum Master of one of our teams you will operate as a team player and change agent with a passion for working with people and teams to help them deliver their best work.
As a Scrum Master your will be responsible for improving facilitation of change using Agile methodology and will do this by helping the team understand Scrum theory, practices, rules and values and translating this into practice by running the standard Agile ceremonies.
Tasks
- Ensure that Tribe and Squad goals are understood by everyone in the Squad.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and agile team to ensure a healthy prioritized product backlog is maintained by the PO.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, through a clear understanding of the aim of each ceremony - taking corrective measures as required to ensure they are effective.
- Help the Squad to continuously improve the effectiveness of their incremental delivery of value to clients & stakeholders.
- Understand the context of teams supported including strategic targets, delivery targets, structure, agile frameworks, constraints, team-dynamics, mindsets, human nature and technical considerations.
- Proactively remove impediments to team success, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, and protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the team lives the agile values, applies agile principles, and follows agreed processes and practices.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and agile coaches to continuously improve the agile process.
- Conduct agile trainings, advise, facilitate, mentor and coach agile team members and stakeholders in line with agreed outcomes.
Requirements:
- +5 years of experience as Scrum Master or similar position
- Experienced in agile techniques with past success in supporting agile teams.
- 2+ years experience working as scrum master within a data/cloud team
- Basic knowledge regarding deployment pipelines, release processes and incident management within cloud environment
- Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable offering guidance and leadership, both individually and at agile team level.
- Structured and problem-solving attitude, including identification and (proactive) removal of impediments to agile team delivery.
- Passionate about coaching and supporting people to embrace changes to their way of working.
- A continuous improvement mindset and dedication to finding new ways of working.
- Attitude which puts the needs of the entire team before that of the individual and helping others perform to the best of their abilities (“servant leadership”)
- Emotionally intelligent, calm, open-minded and collaborative with strong people management skills: strong communication, motivating, observing, coaching and mentoring of colleagues.
- High self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distractions.
- Experience with tools for agile team management such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office Package
- Experience with distributed, multi-location teams.
- Experience in financial services and/or large corporate environments.
- Technical background and experience in software development lifecycle - especially in Cloud Engineering environment - would be preferred.
