Job Overview

Maximize sales growth in a specified geographical territory for an assigned pharmaceutical account. That includes promotes, recommends, developing, managing, and implementing business development strategies, identifying potential clients , and cultivating existing client relationships.

Identifies and pursues sales leads; makes sales calls and visits in a geography, industry or product area; concludes orders and arranges internal sales logistics; resolves client complaints; monitors changing client needs and competitor activity; and prepares sales targets, budgets and reports.

Essential Functions

  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specified potential new a Clients/Accounts.
  • Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities.
  • Work with Sales Management to identify and prioritize list of target Account opportunities for each 'prospecting cycle' (e.g. quarterly/semi-annually).
  • Derive strong understanding of the client’s needs and challenges.
  • Strategically execute a comprehensive engagement & account plan, ensure business sustainability.
  • Under the leadership of Sales Management, continuously monitor status of leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained.
  • Lead the sales process; prepare and lead the sales presentation.
  • Coordinate contracts/proposals to develop accounts with new business leads. Handle follow-up related to the sale and drive completion of contractual documents.
  • Maintain visibility within client organization. Monitor client satisfaction by communicating regularly with client.
  • Plan and coordinate all client sales activities.
  • Analyze potential opportunities and develop sales plans for each target account. Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to client. Monitor actions and results against plans.
  • Report all sales related activities in CRM system.
  • Prepare sales activity report for Sales Management as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Life Sciences or related field
  • Varied experience in a range of client types and therapy areas in oncology
  • Tender management experience would be preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Good understanding of Pharma Market and related procedures.
  • Understanding and general knowledge of health service at both national and local level in terms
  • of structures and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Secondary Care or Specialist arena in breast oncology
  • Ability to build relationships with key opinion leaders and health representatives in the territory
  • and in the specialty segment.
  • Fluency software operating systems, such as MS Office and client relationship
  • management systems
  • Must be self-directed and capable of prioritizing opportunities and performing multiple tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
