Senior Manager, Email Marketing



The Senior Manager, Email Marketing is a key leadership position within the Digital organization responsible for defining and executing strategies to grow T-Mobile email marketing capabilities. This role will work cross functionally to identify the opportunities, for the channel, educate team members on best practices and manage T-Mobile’s ESP relationships.

Qualified candidates must have both technology and marketing experience, demonstrated results and delivery of high-impact marketing campaigns or projects, and can comfortably use data to review campaign performance and drive business metrics. This role will partner with deployment to ensure email channel strategies are aligned across the organization and that email capabilities will work to enable omni channel marketing experiences at scale.

This individual must have proven experience with managing and guiding highly functioning teams. He/She must provide leadership and set vision in alignment with overall department and corporate objects. This role will also need to work cross functionally to align stakeholders on the mission to gain buy-in and partnership across the organization.

Core responsibilities include:
Be the customer champion for prospecting, following up and converting leads through email marketing
Expand personalization capabilities to allow the use of segmentation and predictive modeling
Create and partner with teams to drive the email program roadmap that includes existing program optimizations, program enhancements, and new programs.
Develop high level business cases to identify opportunities, and prioritize projects needed to drive rapid and exponential growth short and long term.
Identify opportunities and foster a customer of innovation to inform the product roadmap, and prioritize new initiatives
Serve as business owner and subject matter expert (SME) for Email Marketing across the organization, for initiatives that impact the customer lead acquisition experience and conversion
Accountable for business performance monitoring and reporting to Senior Leadership
Leads and develops team of employees
5 to 7+ years of direct experience leading and executing email marketing programs
3+ years managing a high-functioning team
Proven experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics a must.
Self-starter with proven track record of delivering against projects that engage customers and drive sales
Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts, metrics and best practices
Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization; ability to translate that data into actionable and profitable marketing plans
Proven experience in creative problem solving
Understands and empathetic to customers’ needs
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
Business or quantitative degree, or similar.
