Product manager Fall Protection - Soft-Goods
Manages product and strategic marketing. Is the owner of the life cycle for assigned product group. Responsible for all aspects of managing the products, from product creation through final discontinuation. Responsible for researching market needs, product selection, positioning, pricing, marketing communications, product & market segmentation, packaging and brand management decisions.
Provides focus for the organization on new competitive opportunities for assigned products. Supports the sales organization on achieving sales objectives for the product line. Works with marketing communications on preparation of marketing collateral.
1. PLANNING: Develops plans and strategies for assigned products to capitalize on competitive opportunities and measures their achievement through a written annual marketing plan for assigned product categories. Develops and communicates product positions for key products through appropriate adv
I. Education Required (academic and/or technical education)
B.A. or B.S. in Business and/or marketing or Master in Business
II. Work Experience Required (area and length of experience)
Experience in product management or product marketing
Familiarity with product development process on technical products
Sales experience would be a plus
III. Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required (specific skills and knowledge required for the position)
Strong project management skills
Good communications skills
Strong planning and project management ability required.
Strong analytical skills required.
Familiarity with Safety business would be a plus
IV. Behavioural Competencies Required (e.g. organisational skills, ability to lead a team, etc.)
Good relationship building skills demonstrated
Working knowledge of standards business practices, including planning, finance and performance metrics required
Ability to facilitate collaborative sessions to encourage innovation and creative thinking required
Good relationship-building skills required.
Must have strong presentation skills.
Complete familiarity with the Microsoft Office platform of products required.
