SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit currently have an immediate opportunity to join our Rail and Transit engineering consultancy team overseeing the Asset Services group.

The Opportunity

SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit currently have an immediate opportunity to join our Rail and Transit engineering consultancy team overseeing the Asset Services group.

In this role you will be accountable for developing, leading and managing a team of professional staff and associates to deliver high quality Asset Management and Through-Life Engineering services.

This group provides asset management and maintenance related services predominantly in the Rail Sector with an opportunity to develop the business into other key markets. The position can be based in our Sydney or Melbourne office.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for business development, strategy setting and implementation, financial performance, recruitment, team management and team development.
  • You will manage all aspects of relevant consultancy assignments in the APAC region including allocation, estimating, tendering, planning, execution and close out;
  • Develop innovative ideas which deliver service and product growth, client satisfaction improvement or operational performance improvement.

About You

You will have a deep knowledge of asset maintenance and management best practise, including planning, optimisation and implementation. Your experience will have been gained in rail or a similar heavy asset intensive environment.

You will have the credibility and knowledge to build a strong rapport with clients, who look to your expertise and that of your team to deliver exceptional asset performance outcomes.

You will be a highly motivated individual, driven and energetic, with the ability to build and manage a highly successful team.

Whilst a high degree of understanding of the rail operating environment is desirable, an ability to learn quickly and apply your knowledge within the rail market is critical.

  • Chartered Engineer with a degree in a relevant discipline; or more than 10 years relevant experience.
  • A proven track record in team recruitment, development and management;
  • A good understanding of complex asset engineering environments and operations, gained in rail or a similar industry;
  • A proven ability to establish and maintain a strong network of clients and collaborators;
