Leidos has an opening for a talented SM/Sr. SWE to work on the Sustainment for Analysis Services (SAS) program who will be responsible for the integration, operations, and sustainment of multiple operational and in-development mission critical systems.
Dependent on SAS needs the SM can be a part-time or full-time role. The ideal candidate is accountable for establishing Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory and practice, both within the Scrum Team and the organization while serving the Scrum Team as well as the larger organization.
As a Sr. SWE you will architect, design, build, and enhance highly available and scalable systems used by our customer. You will direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the Agile software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, unit testing, deployment, operations, and maintenance. Additionally, you will determine and recommend the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines, and other resource constraints.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Coach team members in self-management and cross-functionality.
- Focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done.
- Influence removal of impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress.
- Ensure all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
- Help build, manage, and mentor multi-disciplined teams executing Agile processes using best-of-breed tools.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation and promote collaboration across teams and projects.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve our software deliverables.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- US citizenship is required per contract.
- Requires BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification.
- Hands-on expertise with Java, JavaScript, or Python programming languages.
- Demonstrated proficiency with web application technologies and deployment environments.
- Experience architecting, developing, and delivering complex software systems into production.
- Strong understanding of modern software design patterns and coding standards.
- Experience leading multi-disciplined technical project teams and setting the technical direction.
- Working knowledge of Agile development and continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools.
- Experience with a version control system (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner, Developer, or Solutions Architect Certification.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong proficiency with basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, REST, JSON, and JavaScript.
- Experience with an issue/problem tracking system (e.g., Jira).
- Proficiency with multiple operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Interest and ability to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with Agile management tools such as Bitbucket, GitLab, and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit, Cucumber, or JMeter.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with database administration, including Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and MySQL.
This position has a target range for compensation of $130,000 - $140,000. This is a firm fixed price contract and does not allow for negotiations outside of this target range.
