Auto req ID 77653BR Job Title Material Cost Reduction Expert for I BS (TSR) Country Romania Posting Location Timisoara Job Description The Material Cost Reduction (MCR) Team deals with all purchasing-related aspects of material cost reduction in order to increase the profitability of Body & Security (I BS) products.


1) Data Management
Maintain and optimize an existing database of “risk components” and potential alternatives.
2) Active Project Investigation
Support the identification of potential projects and define additional KPIs to further optimize the project identification process
Use database and existing tools to identify risks as well as potential material cost reductions for selected projects
Review proposals together with project teams and seek an implementation agreement
Track the implementation of agreed changes and provide a regular reporting of savings
3) Knowledge Exchange / Trainings / Continuous Improvement
Actively train the Body & Security Purchasing Organization about processes, component risks, and tool usage
Knowledge exchange concerning component risks, investigation process, KPIs, etc. with main stakeholders inside and outside of the Business Unit

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes, and organization.
Job Requirements Required:
Bachelor’s degree (Business or Science degree)
3+ years of experience in the automotive industry (Purchasing, Controlling, Project Management, Logistics, R&D)
Excellent communication skills to interact with different types of people in an intercultural setup, including internal and supplier management
Ability to work effectively in teams, as well as self-sufficiently with minimum supervision
Strong presentation skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
Very good English skills (verbally and in writing).
Willingness to travel to our worldwide locations (especially in Germany and Austria)

Master’s degree
Ability to lead process improvements
Knowledge of other languages
Database management and programming experience
Experience in “big data” handling and analysis
