  • Your project will include extensive screening of state of the art technologies to identify technology gaps
  • You take care that new solutions for sample preparation together with standardization based on isotopically labeled peptides and proteins will be developed and investigated
  • In this context you are responsible for the design and development of new mass spectrometric applications for quantification of proteins in human samples
  • The scientific evaluation of new methods and experimental proof of concept studies belong to your tasks
  • We ask you to review and evaluate scientific literature and to present your results
  • Of course you will work in close cooperation within a team of multidisciplinary scientists

    • You hold a PhD in in chemistry or biochemistry
    • In addition you have a solid experience in separation techniques (chromatography,…) and protein mass spectrometry
    • You have experience in concepts for mass spectrometric quantification
    • You have a solid background in protein biochemistry and analytics for quantification and characterization of biomolecules
    • Your qualification should be clearly demonstrated by at least one first author paper published or accepted in a high-quality peer-reviewed journal during your PhD
    • Very good communication and interpersonal skills are your strengths. In addition you are sensitive to intercultural and interdisciplinary issues.
    • You are a pro-active individual with passion and commitment to innovate healthcare through our Roche Diagnostics Postdoc Program
    • Working in a team is natural to you and you have first experience in training students
    • You already demonstrated personal flexibility and the capability to work independently
    • Highly advanced planning and organization skills complete your profile
    • You possess excellent spoken and written English skills; German language skills are beneficial but not required
