.Zulily's Supply Chain Tech (SCT) builds the software that powers both Zulily's fulfillment network and an increasing part of QVC and HSN's networks. This Senior DevOps Engineer role is one of the key roles to help ship our next-generation cloud infrastructure in AWS. Your key areas of focus will be end-to-end automation using CI/CD pipeline, help define release strategy, build and maintain Infrastructure as a service solution, build platforms to make software delivery service easier to manage. As a member of our agile teams, you will participate in project planning, and sprint schedule. We have a creative culture focused on learning and experimenting. We prioritize growing from the lessons and feedback we share through these experiments.

Primary Responsibilities

Understand SDLC, Automation tools and framework, CI/CD pipelines.

Design, develop and implement software integrations based on requirements

Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development team to streamline code deployment Build Automation infrastructure in Python/Golang for high-end supply chain solutions.

Serve as source of technical expertise to an agile team and is a mentor for junior staff members Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, troubleshooting, processes, and standards

Proactively identifying and resolving key technical issues

Experience We’re Looking For: 

Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.

Experience with both private and public cloud infrastructure and interfacing programmatically through APIs

Experience with CI/CD and project management tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.)

Require hands-on programming skills on developing automation modules on Python/Go/Ruby/Bash.

Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

Experience in System Testing and Building Automation Tools Experience with web technologies (REST, JSON, etc.)

Must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and have excellent written & verbal communication skills

Knowledge of databases and comfortable with various databases technologies - both relational (MySQL preferred) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis preferred) is a plus

Qualifications

8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a master’s degree; or equivalent experience Knowledge of cloud-native service development and experience building PaaS and IaaS solutions.

Excellent organizational agility and interpersonal skills throughout the organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
