DESCRIPTION

SLP team ensures smooth run of the day-to-day business operations by protecting against various threats and by managing security and loss prevention risks, thereby ensuring a safe and secure work environment. This is achieved by preventing the security related risks and vulnerabilities as early as possible; by intervening in unfolding incidents and exposures in order to minimize any negative impact; and by investigating thoroughly security related incidents in order to identify and address root causes and to prevent re-occurrence.

The role is field based role. As primary responsibility ZSM is responsible to assess risk and vulnerabilities associated with Amazon Customer Fulfilment operation in their area of responsibility, help collate evidence and represent Amazon in front of Law Enforcement/External agencies and court of law. Aim is to minimise the vulnerability and reduce number of incidents leveraging Law Enforcement (LE) action. ZSM will be responsible for signing the complaints on behalf of Amazon while initiating Law Enforcement Action, explain operations, processes and closely follow up with Law enforcement agencies for conversion of the case to FIR and further investigation by LEAs. The role is expected to create deterrence through LE action leading to clear messaging to bad actors that “Anyone who is stealing or committing fraud will face police/legal/penal action”.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance and support for Security and Loss Prevention teams; supply chain, logistics and transportation operations and coordination groups, other stakeholders with the Amazon organization and 3Ps. 2. Implement key liaison contacts in industry, law enforcement, government and regulatory agencies to maintain awareness of and provide tactical response to upcoming legislation, industry trends, external risks 3. Implement internal business stakeholder support in order to promote security as added value and business differentiator; provide direct input to the relevant internal stakeholders and operational teams on high risk new business. 4. Contribute to reduce business losses on security incidents and related claims by identifying and understanding vulnerabilities, MO’s, and implementation of the appropriate means and measures to protect transported 5. Responsible for maintaining working relationships and liaison with State level Law Enforcement, Specialized LE agencies and Central agencies to expedite action on Amazon complaints leading to prosecution/recovery of stolen goods/retribution. 6. Liaison with local Police authorities for updates and status of the matters referred/related to the company. s7. Proactively liaise with LE agencies and support Litigation team for filing the police complaints. 8.Post filing of complaint/registration of FIR, to carry out end-to-end coordination and follow-up with the LEIO (Law Enforcement Investigating Officer)/ LEA (Law Enforcement Agencies) for required actions and logical closure of the cases.9. Supporting cross functional teams in navigating challenges with local and national LEAs. 10. Managing and briefing periodic reporting on the status update of LE referrals to the respective managers. 11. Ability and willingness to work off hours, including weekends and holidays, in order to support emergency matters. 12. Willingness to travel (if required) within and outside the area of operation. 13. Ensure the external stake holder engagement is meeting Amazon global and local legal/ethics/compliance standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree or higher qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience working in law enforcement agencies, Armed Forces or Para Military Forces.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain security, including management of third-party logistics providers, law enforcement, loss prevention, risk management, investigations or similar field
  • Experience of working in a similar role in the private sector or with a major multinational company is preferred.
  • Candidate should be proficient in writing or reviewing documents in Official language. Spoken English and at least one regional language proficiency is a must.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, retail, supply chain and transportation security, Loss prevention.
  • Familiar with Legal processes/litigation process.
  • Degree or diploma in law
  • Strong oral and written communication (reporting and presentation skills).
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office with proficiency in excel.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Veterans will be preferred (Armed Forces, Para Military and Law Enforcement Agencies)
