IBM and the University of Jyväskylä has establish a joint innovation community - the innovation hub, that is to accelerate business opportunities, research and educational co-operation. The objective of the innovation hub is to help grow the skills that are needed in the digitalized world through collaborative research projects and linking together academia, industry and research ecosystems.

We are now looking for a talented and ambitious Ecosystem developer to join the innovation hub, located in the University of Jyväskylä Faculty of Information Technology.

As an Ecosystem Developer you will be the key person in building up University - Startup - Developer - Company ecosystem around the Innovation community. You will be analyzing the requirements of the innovation hub and developing the results to the needs of the various parties. It is essential that you are able to apply in-depth understanding of best practices, key concepts, products, offerings and services within some of the key areas of the IBM Cloud platform identified as:

  • Internet of Things
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Cognitive analytics
  • Blockchain
  • Virtual reality
  • Robotics
  • Quantum computing
  • Cybersecurity

In this role you will be

  • collaborating with the Innovation hub team
  • developing Proof of Concept in co- operation with technical team
  • developing and delivering education around hot topics
  • designing solutions with the technical team

You will be working in a dynamic environment that offers a high degree of autonomy and the ability to innovate, with countless resources and opportunities to learn, grow and build skills within the Cognitive and Cloud areas.

You will be expected to do platform evangelization and sales around the growing Ecosystem.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • consulting the Innovation hub ecosystem in their strategies and initiatives
  • discovering ecosystem requirements
  • proposing competitive differentiators
  • delivering Proof of Concepts and demos of cognitive and cloud capabilities with the technical team
  • providing sales leadership to key stakeholders to ensure IBM Cloud platform consumption and development of new opportunities
  • collaborating and developing ecosystem skills and solutions
  • co-ordination of activities with internal and external partners
  • giving presentations in marketing and enablement events
  • leading local community
