The Marketing Technologies team is involved with developing, deploying and integrating tools that enhance our ability to acquire new subscribers. This is a crucial part of the company’s operations since the Times is a “subscriber first” organization. We realize that in the digital age high quality journalism truth commands a premium, and people are willing to pay to get their news. We have one of the largest subscriber base in the digital news industry, and that number continues to grow - thanks to our committed marketing efforts.
In this team you will be exposed to various tools - Databases, SaaS products, products developed in house because nothing like it exists in the market or can’t scale to meet our needs. Implement strategies for handling large amounts of data to accomplish our marketing goals.
You’re a good communicator with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on learning and improving yourself and others. You’re curious and open-minded, able to question but commit. You want to work on systems and projects that are critical to the business. You are:
Pursuing a Computer Science degree or in a related field
Familiar with UNIX and shell scripting
Knowledgeable with SQL, Postgres is a plus
Passionate about making a positive difference in the world
