As a Technical Support Engineer you will be part of the Customer Success team responsible for the implementation, on-going support, and growth of a diverse set of client trading systems. Working closely with our engineers and product managers, you will help solve complex problems for our global customer base. This involves technical troubleshooting and functional requirements gathering. It requires an understanding of IT system architecture and eventually, an understanding of financial markets and financial instruments.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with clients to help implement and use functionality
  • Examples: Setting up a solution to quote on a market, setting up volatility surfaces, delivering a solution for algo trading, etc.
  • Troubleshoot systems together with the users, liaising with our engineering team on issues that require code changes.
  • Support the sales team with new deliveries and new clients.
  • Collaborate with exchanges on new functionality and market upgrades.
  • Partner with IT staff at client sites to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Travel to other offices or client sites, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Physics or related discipline.
  • An interest in technology and finance
  • Problem solving skills
  • An interest in working with customers
  • Basic knowledge of Linux
  • Be a motivated team player.
  • Stress resistant.
  • Legal authorization to work is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this position.

Desirable skills:

  • Understanding of financial markets, exchanges and financial instruments (options, futures and stocks) 
  • Familiarity with UNIX based environments, in particular Red Hat Linux or similar
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, BASH, etc.
  • Familiarity with major programming languages like Java or C, C++ (even though the role is not a developer role).
