The Enterprise Architecture Practice in NTT Data provides strategic information technology and business consulting services to help clients achieve real business improvement and market advantage in a dynamic business environment. The Enterprise Architecture practice undertakes assignments to identify, shape, plan and realize business change to create engaging user experience, create value from business operations, enable well founded decision making and enable businesses to create value from EA.

 

Job Summary

 

Your role will be to draw out a strategy to help clients with the next generation applications.

The Senior Enterprise Architect is a key member of Enterprise Architecture Practice. The Senior EA is initially assigned to a client that has engaged our services to deliver Enterprise Architecture services. The primary focus of the Senior EA is to deliver EA services in a manner consistent with the EA practice’s best practices and methodologies. The Senior EA is expected to work in a collaborative manner with senior members of the client’s organization and with other members of the Securities and Capital Markets team. The Senior EA is expected to bring both thought leadership and a high degree of broad expertise and credibility to each engagement. As an experienced member of the team, the Senior EA is expected to be a trusted advisor to our clients and be able to deliver innovative solutions to complex problems. This includes mentoring the client, other members of the practice and engagement teams on best practices. In addition, this role involves contributing to NTT Data’s knowledge capital through the development and reuse of practice frameworks and tools. As a senior member of the Practice the Senior EA is also expected to contribute to the business development of the practice through the identification of opportunities within existing clients, sell and present standard service offerings and to lead RFP responses. The Senior EA is expected to be able to develop and close client specific proposition on the back of opportunities qualified and/or developed by the practice partners.

 

Responsibilities

Participate in and lead strategic projects

Develop and maintain strong client relations with senior and C-level executives—develop new insights into the client’s business model and pain points, and deliver actionable, high-impact results.

Conduct Goals, Question, and Metric exercise for aligning, defining and implementing overall organization objectives.

Participate in client engagements including oversight of business transformation activities.

Lead and mentor other architects within the Practice and across NTT Data to ensure high levels of client satisfaction during delivery.

Support business development through proactive opportunity identification, proposition development, RFP responses and supporting practice partners to close deals. 

Provide project and programme support and help the account management team develop new opportunities within the client space.

Work with Engagement Managers and others to prioritize tasks and schedule activities.

Plan and ensure project execution is well within aggressive timelines.

Determine and articulate ROI for individual and overall services rendered during client engagements.

Contribute thought capital through the creation of executive presentations and position papers.

 

Experience (Must Have)

Consulting delivery

Enterprise Architecture consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm is preferable.

Prior responsibility for leading Enterprise Architecture Initiatives within a large corporate environment is desirable

Excellent presentation and communication skills in MS Office Tools (Power Point, Word, Excel)

Experience in working with large distributed teams in a highly dynamic environment, preferably involving an onshore/offshore model is highly desirable. EA skills and expertise

Specialism in three or more of the following: Business driver analysis , Business Model Analysis, Business Scenario Analysis, Business Capability Modeling, Enterprise Architecture Modeling, Enterprise Portfolio Management, Reference Architectures, Transition Planning, EA Governance, EA Maturity assessments, EA Value Management

A specialism in Business Architecture and/or Application Architecture

Some experience of Information Architecture or Infrastructure Architecture

A good technologist with an understanding of technologies covering solution architecture, application architecture and infrastructure is an advantage.

Experience in design and startup of an EA function within a large corporate environment.

 

Techniques & tools

Extensive experience with models frameworks and techniques Business Model Canvas, REA, Business Capability Modeling, TOGAF, IT-CMF, Val-IT, and Risk-IT 

 

Experience of one or more EA tools: Troux, Alfabet Planning IT, Mega, etc. Business development

Experience in identifying opportunities for x-sell and up-sell when on engagement

Experience in leading development of proposals and RFP responses Industry sectors

Deep expertise in Banking and Financial Services.

 

Experience (Nice to Have)

A strong and well-rounded understanding of business process management issues, reengineering techniques and sourcing decision frameworks is required. Extensive knowledge of SOA, Micro-services strategies and governance structures.

Knowledge of regulatory influences facing specific industries (GDPR, PSDII)

CISA, CISM, CISSP certification Role demands

Excellence in strategic and analytical problem solving Quantitative, fact-based approach to team based problem solving and strategic approach to addressing issues and offering solutions. Candidates should have an aptitude for analytical concepts and thinking.

Business acumen and IT knowledge Strong business development skills. Must have an understanding of current market trends, risks and prevalent technologies used in the client’s industry.

Outstanding leadership and communication skills Polished verbal and written communication style. Ability to confidently build a strong rapport with project teams and the client.

Personal drive Entrepreneurial drive with a can-do attitude, a strong desire to learn and shape your own career path. Commitment to making a positive lasting client impact.

Self-guided attitude The ability to succeed in a professional environment where client and project direction is not always well defined. Qualified candidates will understand how to produce results when working in challenging client environments and/or new business areas.

Facilitation skills The ability to facilitate executive workshops and obtain consensus.

Negotiation skills Understanding of principled negotiation strategies and the ability to resolve differing opinions and seek a win-win resolution to conflicts.
