Facebook is seeking a Client Solutions Manager to work as a member of our Global Sales team consulting with some of the most exciting companies and brands in the world. In this role, you will build customer and partner relationships, provide leadership and business insights, deliver on strategic initiatives with our multi-channel advertisers. This includes developing and executing Facebook advertising strategies, building deep client relationships, leveraging big data to provide actionable insights, and managing productivity-enhancing projects. With proven understanding of both online and traditional media, this role will work closely with partners across Sales to develop industry-specific marketing relationships, drive and upsell revenue opportunities by negotiating and optimizing complex solutions with strategic clients. We look for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems through technical and analytical excellence and commercial acumen, synthesizing complex pieces of information into concrete recommendations, and project managing multiple streams of work. You should have a deep passion for Facebook, our advertising products and tools, our advertising philosophy. Success in this position requires strong consultative sales and solid analytical skills, a focus on client service, intrinsic curiosity for product and technology and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment delivering against tight deadlines. This role is based in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities
  • Client Development – Drive Clients success leveraging Facebook’s products and technology developments as an industry thought leader in social media and digital advertising. Manage strategic marketing conversations with Clients, brand and direct–response focused marketers and advise Agencies and Clients on the best customized solutions.
  • Campaigns Strategy, Media Planning, Measurement - Work closely with the Client Partner to outline solutions and appropriate campaign structures based upon key KPI’s. Manage and consult on complex advertising and measurement solutions.
  • Platform & Products Education – Responsible for educating Clients on solutions and best practices. Drive product innovation in order to build a strong foundation for client’s Facebook presence.
  • Campaigns Management, Optimization – Manage revenue delivery and budget spend, including optimization suggestions and providing targeting recommendations. Identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities across the managed portfolio and coordinate with the Client Partners to drive incremental revenue. Troubleshoot to quickly solve advertiser issues including campaign performance, product bugs. Drive revenue growth and track performance of managed Clients.
  • Project Management and Analytics Excellence - Coordinate complex advertising solutions and integrations to drive and optimize marketing objectives. Develop and manage analytics dashboards, run analysis to advise clients (e.g. ads and pages data/insights reporting, understanding performance across multiple accounts, quarterly business reviews, etc).
  • Relationship Management - Build and manage key relationships within Clients, Agencies, Partners (media, creative, FMP, etc.). Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to the managed Clients, including escalation and troubleshooting to solve agency/client issues.
  • Being an active contributor of the sales team to reach and exceed the sales quota while contributing to overall team goals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS and Master degree preferred BS in Marketing, Economics or Business, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science.
  • 5+ years’ experience working directly with top-tier agencies (advertising/digital/media), media and/or consulting companies and demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Strong passion for Facebook and our mission and familiarity with Facebook’s ad products. Extensive experience as a Facebook user and familiarity with Facebook’s ad solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibility, critical thinking, and capability to solve problems in a structured manner.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both written & verbal) at all levels of an organization and / or at external speaker events.
  • Ability to apply rigor, methodologies and use technology to execute, assess, and explain complex brand and performance marketing solutions.
  • Experience working effectively with XFN teams and all levels of management (internally and externally). Ability to lead multiple projects while maintaining attention to details and effectiveness.
  • Analytical skills are essential. Advanced Excel skills mandatory, with experience analyzing data-sets and delivering actionable insights. Understanding of major advertising success metrics.
  • Understanding of retail or CPG industries is a plus
