Marketing Manager, ReedPop, PAX

About our Team

ReedPop produces some of the biggest pop culture events in the world and this job plays an important role in bringing those experiences to life. As our Marketing Manager, you will work directly with the Marketing and Events teams, to drive brand awareness, attendee acquisition, and attendee retention for our games portfolio of events, including PAX West, PAX East, and PAX Unplugged.

About the Role

Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded powerhouse who has touched every aspect of events marketing. They love building robust campaigns and engineering strategies that lean on publicity, promotion, social media, digital advertising, and more. You’ll work closely with your team to develop a multi-show marketing calendar that engages both new attendees and diehard fans. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about the gaming industry, the events we produce, and creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Event Manager and cross-teams to develop strategy, positioning, and key communications for our games events portfolio
  • Managing PAX Marketing team and external PR team
  • Tracking and measuring key metrics (ROI and KPIs) of all marketing initiatives. Proactively keeping manager informed of status and deliverables
  • Executing a comprehensive marketing plan and communications calendar focused on attendee acquisition, retention, and customer engagement
  • Working with internal research team and partners to turn data and actionable insights into digital content
  • Managing overall marketing plans, attendee data, industry best practices, and engagement rates to ensure strategy is effective and successful
  • Maintaining an eye for detail and quality on projects big and small, while communicating with the team to meet deadlines
  • Overseeing marketing budgets, invoicing, and cost centers across 3 events annually

Requirements

  • Demonstrate experience in marketing consumer products, event marketing and people management
  • Possess experience in social media marketing, consumer insights, digital advertising, brand positioning, and marketing analytics
  • Have professional level knowledge of social media platforms and their corresponding ad management platforms
  • Be detail-oriented & proactive with a true passion for gaming, fan communities, and the brands we work with
  • Be highly collaborative and able to thrive in an environment with unpredictable deadlines and schedules
  • Be able to travel 6-8 times per annually, domestic and international, including weekends, as needed
