Position Summary

The Senior Marketing Associate–U.S. Metabolics reports into the Sr. Director, U.S. Marketing - Metabolics and has responsibility over the planning, coordination and execution of many of the marketing tactics and activities of the team. 


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads the execution of the Congress Plan, including meeting participation prioritization, booth development, sales force coordination, planning of ancillary events, and post-event follow-up
  • Manages team budget and ensures appropriate allocation of resources to achieve team goals; provides monthly tracking and reporting to management
  • Collaborates with legal, medical, and compliance to manage speaker and patient program, including identification and contracting of speakers, development of new materials, training, and the implementation of compliance programs
  • Leads development and execution of non-personal marketing initiatives, including unbranded and branded websites, SEO, SEM, journal/print advertising, social media campaigns
  • Identifies opportunities and leads multi-channel marketing initiatives with 3rd party educational vendors such as Doximity, Medscape, Figure 1, etc.
  • Analyzes performance of marketing programs and makes actionable recommendations based on results
  • Cultivates strong relationships with cross functional teams including external vendors, finance and the field sales organization to ensure seamless execution and tracking of marketing activities and tactics
  • Works with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct


Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales and/or marketing roles
  • Experience in a project planning and/or coordination function
  • Highly organized and self-motivated person with attention to detail
  • Metrics-driven mindset with track record of implementing and executing profitable marketing strategies
  • Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, accountable and resourceful
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented
  • Excellent listening skills and team player
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and excel
  • Some travel required (U.S.)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration
  • Previous experience in the pharma or biotech industry
  • Understanding of marketing analytics, search optimization and proven success with implementation
  • Experience in vendor management
