User Experience Designer IV

Tell us about your department:

As a contract Sr. Experience Designer in the Discover (Homepage & Navigation) space, you will work with a highly collaborative team of experience designers, researchers, taxonomists, product managers, and engineers to create compelling human-centered experiences that drive business goals and results. Work in this space is focused on helping customers discover and shop for products and services in the mobile app, website, and digital properties through the primary navigation, home page and category pages. You will be on this team is an integral part of the broader Product Experience Design & Research team at our company, a team that designs and implements innovative, human, end-to-end experiences for our customers and employees.

Project Description: Working closely with XD team members and other product team partners to support and improve the experiences for global navigation, global home page, category and brand pages across web and app.

Position Summary/Job Description:

• Work with Experience/UX designers, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to create solutions and align customer and business needs.
• Leverage research, site metrics, and usability findings to make recommendations and drive strategy.
• Work to understand the problem space and foster a shared vision of the future.
• Participate in a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with research, analytics, consumer insights and A/B testing teams on methodology and approach for the testing of XD strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership on the evolution of our Experience Design practice.

Skills Overview:

• Advanced skills with tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Miro, etc.
• History demonstrating human-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, usability standards and best practices.
• Ability to present designs, drive consensus and negotiate trade-offs.
• Ability to work through design solutions and understand the technology behind those solutions.
• At least 2 years working as an embedded product designer alongside product management and engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience as an Experience/UX Designer or 6+ yrs in a Design related role.

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for? Good collaboration skills when it comes to partnering with product team members and cross collaboration. Innovative thinking to help drive the team forward in the work they do.
