The Role:

 Millions of patients use Phreesia’s platform before and after they see their physician, giving us insight into everything from the number of Medicare patients who take advantage of wellness exams, to out-of-pocket payment trends, to patients’ satisfaction with their care providers. The Content Specialist will be tasked with producing engaging, informative content that reinforces Phreesia’s leading position in the industry and supports its growth strategy.

The Content Specialist will be responsible for creating, editing and proofreading content across a range of channels, including blog posts, social media, case studies, press releases and product collateral. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to produce high-impact thought leadership content that engages leading physician groups and health systems. The Content Specialist will support the Content Director in planning and executing the content calendar and producing content that drives demand generation. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and storyteller, has experience in healthcare and/or technology, and has a demonstrated track record of distilling complex subjects into readable, thought-provoking content.


  • Produce high-quality content in a range of formats that engages and provides clear benefits to the target audience
  • Collaborate with other members of the demand generation team to evaluate and optimize content assets, increase campaign effectiveness, lead generation and conversion rates
  • Manage and grow Phreesia’s social media accounts
  • Provide editorial and copywriting functions across the company, ensuring adherence to grammar, syntax and organizational voice
  • Support the Content Director in creating and adhering to the content calendar and overall content strategy


  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional writing, editing and organizational skills
  • Flexible, reliable and detail-oriented
  • Self-directed and able to successfully manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, measurement-driven organization
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams  
  • Demonstrated track record of producing content assets that influence a target audience
  • Preferred: Healthcare industry knowledge and content marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field
