Job Summary:

The Analyst, Finance, Accounting and Control, EU will perform accounting activities for delegated entities in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulations and prepare monthly reports for management, short-term forecasts and participate in preparation budget. This position gives the opportunity to work on accounting tasks, month-end closing activities but also to cover reporting part, which will give complete picture and understanding of monthly results. This role will also offer the opportunity to support EU FP&A team with monthly reporting tasks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular accounting activities: posting of intercompany and 3rd party invoices (considering VAT, GLs, CC), process invoice approvals and payments, invoicing and posting of intercompany recharges, asset posting,
  • Creating High loaders monthly rent invoices to intercompany parties across Europe, work on reconciliation of fixed assets register,
  • Monthly maintenance of the High loaders tracking (master file and transfers in and out considering capex input, import and export VAT etc)
  • Perform month-end tasks: monthly accruals, bank reconciliation, prepayments release, depreciation run, intercompany reconciliation, FX revaluation, HFM submission and validation clearing, payroll SAP posting, IFRS 9 provision monthly posting,
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT reconciliation for different EU countries,
  • Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations on monthly basis, work on clean-up Balance sheet and general ledger accounts,
  • Work on system automatizations and testing,
  • Run monthly and ad hoc reports for senior management using HFM and Excel under the supervision of the Senior analyst FP&A and Control
  • Supporting local teams, across EU, from time to time, with AP/AR, reconciliations etc.,
  • Help with preparation of short-term forecast and budget and submission for delegated entities,
  • Preparation of monthly reports for management, with analysis of actual monthly results vs budget. Challenging and explaining differences,
  • Document financial and internal controls to ensure controls are in place and operating efficiencies are achieved,
  • Cooperate with external audit in areas under audit scope,
  • Interpret IFRS and other regulatory requirements,
  • Provide education within and outside finance to ensure understanding and compliance with policies, procedures and controls,
  • Proactively identify potential problems, analyse information and show quality judgment in decision making,
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required,

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance,
  • Master’s degree in Finance/Qualified accountant,
  • ACCA or CIMA is advantage.

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance or Business Analysis in an international environment
  • Experience in SAP finance and control modules and HFM is a strong advantage
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and attention to detail. 
  • Drive for continuous improvement, positive reaction to feedback and quick to learn and adapt, willing to accept new tasks, support team mates when possible etc
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently without supervision
  • Ethical beyond question – inspire trust

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills
