This hands on leadership role is responsible for the delivery of graphics services in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring it is aligned to Global standards. It encompasses collaborating with Global graphics leaders, and providing support to the office graphics leadership and teams with a focus on customer service.


Key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Managing Graphics delivery for the Global/Regional India-based Graphics hub;
  2. Coordinating Graphics delivery across APAC;
  3. Delivering hands on project/technical support (individual contributor work)


Graphics service lines, as defined by the Global Graphics vision/strategy are:

  • New CORE PowerPoint slide design standard (standard slide format for general day-to-day presentations)
  • New PLUS PowerPoint slide design standard (tailored slide design, image/media-rich, for high stakes Bain/Client scenarios).
  • Certified Graphics Trainers and Power Users in local Graphics hubs


The role encompasses growing, motivating and retaining the team in the India graphics hub, as well as aligning on best practices and coordinating across offices in APAC. Key performance indicators include:

  • APAC-wide indicators:
    • Net Promoted Score© on graphics services delivered in the APAC region (not exclusive to the teams he/she directly manages)
    • % utilized capacity in APAC
    • % cross office/team sharing for Graphics services in APAC
  • Indicators for directly managed graphics team in India:
    • Worldwide employee survey (WWES) scores
    • Attrition rate

 The Graphics Manager will communicate effectively with key stakeholders in a highly diverse geographical and cultural business environment within APAC, as well as other markets where Bain operates.




APAC Regional Graphics delivery coordination (supporting APAC offices graphics leadership and teams)

  • Coordinate implementation and ongoing success of the global graphics strategy in the APAC region
    • Ensure all APAC graphics teams are trained on the new CORE PowerPoint and that this standard is adopted consistently across APAC
    • Identify CORE graphics trainers and Power Users in APAC and ensure they are properly trained by the Global Graphics Training Program Manager
    • Screen/recruit PLUS designers in APAC and ensure they are properly trained by the Global Presentation Design Program Manager
    • Drive graphics specialization to ensure all specialized graphics needed in APAC to support the consulting teams are available (Video, motion graphics, Bain publications, Mapping and interactive, dashboards (Tableau), Online survey (Qualtrics), e-learning (Storyline), Illustration, Client workshop design, Infographics, Product design (prototyping))
    • Contribute to ongoing development/improvement of graphics standards (CORE and PLUS), tools and processes, in collaboration with other Regional Graphics Managers, the Global Graphics Training Program Manager and the Global Presentation Design Program Manager
    • Establish standards for vendor and outsourcing use, as/if appropriate
    • Explore alternative graphics hub locations for shared regional non-English graphics support.
  • Organise workflow/load balancing across APAC graphics teams, as well as overflow to EMEA/Americas, to support offices for each service line
    • Monitor capacity utilization
    • Organise regional and APAC share of global capacity overflow management
    • Oversee management of PLUS ring-fences
    • Contribute to design/implementation of a global graphics workflow management tool
  • Monitor NPS consistently for all graphics service lines and teams throughout APAC
  • Drive implementation of the global graphics career path in APAC, in coordination with regional and local talent management.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the APAC graphics Team Leaders/ Managers
    • Build value-added relationships with relevant local office leaders in APAC on quality graphics services delivery
    • Lead APAC graphics management calls (at least monthly) to achieve the above
    • Organise regional graphics meetings (every other year, when no global meeting)
    • Provide input for all APAC graphics team leaders/managers during performance review process


Global/Regional India-based Graphics team delivery

  • Support move to a 24x5 global graphics delivery model, providing English-speaking graphics services to EMEA, Americas and other APAC time zones
  • Agree on scope and service levels for CORE graphics delivery required by APAC Offices and other regions from the Global/Regional India-based team.
  • Develop/promote India-based Graphics services as a means to support Bain’s global shared graphics strategy.
  • Ensure effective billing to users of services by the Global/Regional India-based Graphics team, according to agreed budget.
  • Drive a strong service culture within the Global/Regional India-based Graphics team and ensure Graphics Standards, Professional Standards, Operating Principles and BDPs (Best Demonstrated Practices) are understood and applied.
  • Grow the Global/Regional India-based team to meet business demand and implement best practice workflow management and quality control tools/processes
  • Plan headcount and budget for the India-based Global/Regional Graphics team.


Team Management

  • Define roles and approve detailed job descriptions, on boarding steps, curriculum documentation, training content, timelines, milestones and career progression for team in India.
  • Drive recruitment of team in India, to include structuring interview team, gathering feedback and selecting final candidate.
  • Conduct final round interview of all applicants within the India team and decide on hiring with hiring manager/team leader.
  • Appoint and manage the Global/Regional India Graphics team leader
  • Ensure all team members develop to their full potential (drive certification/ specialisation for his/her team) consistently with business needs
  • Manage yearly performance evaluation process for the full team.


Other responsibilities

  • Deliver PLUS graphics design services as an individual contributor (allocation to be agreed upon, based on workload)
  • Attend global graphics meetings on a bi-annual basis to share knowledge



  • High proficiency in written and spoken English, strong communicator in a global business setting (C2 level)
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • High level proficiency in graphics tools
  • 8+ year experience in a demanding corporate environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in people management and local and offshore work flow management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Effective communications with stakeholders across all levels, regionally and globally


  • Proficiency in other languages
  • Educated to degree-level
  • Coaching proficiency is a plus
