Description

The EMEA Accounting Operations Manager will be responsible for two main areas: 1) managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and expense reimbursement (i.e. T&E) function within the EMEA region, 2) provide project management leadership for various process improvement and system enhancement activities within the broader EMEA accounting function. The EMEA Accounting Operations Manager will play a key role in the further development of the P2P function in the region and will closely collaborate with accounting resources within the EMEA region, as well as the accounting resources in the APAC region and US corporate teams to drive alignment with any global change initiatives and projects.

Job Description:           

  • Responsible for managing the accounts payable and T&E functions in the EMEA region. Manages the EMEA based AP and T&E accountant(s) and coordinates building efficient working relationships to achieve efficient and effective processing of vendor invoices as shared between local resources and corporate accounts payable resources
  • Drives and coordinate alignment of the EMEA accounts payable and T&E functions with any global strategic objectives and change initiatives taken in the global P2P function
  • Responsible for delivering process improvements and automation roadmap for the Accounts Payable and T&E Function in the EMEA region (e.g. AP automation enhancements, corporate credit card program implementations, implement T&E risk based audit rules, etc.)
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering monthly T&E reporting pack and performance metrics to EMEA management and accounting leadership
  • Responsible for putting in place efficient and effective monitoring processes for the accounts payable and T&E functions by defining key function performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Act as the key point of contact and Subject matter expert for any P2P and T&E related matters in the EMEA region and will take the lead in driving all communications and training initiatives/needs as required
  • Provides leadership in project managing the various process improvement and system enhancement projects for the EMEA Accounting function
  • Identify actionable insights and suggests recommendations to address issues and improve accounting processes/efficiencies, both in the region and globally

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required with prior hands-on accounting work experience
  • At least 5-8 years relevant experience in an international reporting environment
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects, and drive changes
  • Excellent working ability with accounting processes in a US GAAP reporting environment
  • Outstanding project management skills with a strong grasp of the linkages between business process, financials systems and accounting
  • Comfortable learning new systems and working with large sets of data
  • Previous experience working in an SAP environment desired; experience with Concur a plus
  • Well versed with MS Office applications
  • Strong communicator and team player
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a global, dynamic, fast moving and demanding environment
  • Energetic, positive attitude and open to new challenges
