Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. is currently recruiting for the position of Sr. Electrical Engineer. The Sr. Electrical Engineer's primary responsibility will be to execute the development of our next generation radiation detectors and portable sensors. This position will be responsible for designing mixed-signal electrical circuits and for authoring the firmware embedded in these solutions.

$120,000/yr. - $150,000/yr. -- Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded mixed-signal electrical solutions, by:
  • Executing electrical circuit design
  • Writing embedded firmware
  • Architecting and leading product test programs
  • Conducting PCB layout
  • Collaborate with sales, management, and customers in order to define new product requirements
  • Provide support to vendors & contractors through all the stages of design development and prototype procurement

Requirements

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded design and the development of new products and solutions
  • Experience with radiation detectors desired
  • Altium schematic capture and layout experience desired
  • Ability to work independently in a small company environment
