Principal Product Manager, Desktop - Remote

Role Overview:

As the Consumer Desktop Experience Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and managing our suite of consumer-focused desktop applications. Your mission is to create seamless, engaging, and secure desktop experiences that meet the evolving needs of our users. You will be part of a team that drives the development and enhancement of our subscription-based products, focusing on delivering outstanding value to our subscribers while driving sustainable revenue growth. This role demands a blend of creativity, technical acumen, and a deep understanding of consumer needs and behaviors online. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our consumer-facing desktop products, from ideation and development through to launch and continuous improvement. Working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and analytics teams, you will ensure our products meet the highest standards of user experience, performance, and reliability.

This is based in United States as a remote position. We will only consider candidates currently in The United States and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive desktop product strategy aligned with the overall company vision. Create and manage a clear and actionable product roadmap to achieve business objectives and drive product growth.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify market trends, opportunities, and customer pain points. Use insights to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Product Development: Prioritize product features and development initiatives based on impact, user value, and strategic alignment. Develop detailed requirements and user stories that enable engineering and design teams to build products that delight our users. Advocate for a user-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create simple, seamless, and smart experiences.
  • Product Performance and Optimization: Analyze product metrics, user feedback, and data insights to measure the performance and effectiveness of the mobile products. Continuously identify areas for improvement and optimization to enhance user satisfaction and security.
  • Security and Privacy Compliance: Ensure that our desktop products adhere to the highest security standards and industry best practices. Stay updated on the latest security threats and compliance regulations to safeguard customer data and privacy.
  • Go-to-Market & Launch: Plan and execute go-to-market strategies, coordinating with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure a successful product launch. Monitor and report on product performance, utilizing analytics and other data sources to inform product strategy and roadmap adjustments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, leveraging A/B testing, user feedback, and analytics to iterate on product features. Stay abreast of technological advancements and security trends that can enhance the user experience and product capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to align product priorities and foster a collaborative work environment. Keep all relevant teams informed about product updates and developments.

About you:

  • Proven experience 10+ years as a Product Manager, with a focus on desktop applications and consumer-facing products.
  • Strong understanding of desktop app development, UX/UI principles, and security best practices.
  • Experience in consumer security products or a related industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using product management tools, data analytics, and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
