  • 10+ years in some combination of digital production, programming and content strategy roles
  • A proven leader in setting and executing content strategy across digital and social platforms
  • Deep understanding of the digital/social landscape, including current and emerging platforms and content consumption trends
  • A proven relationship builder who thrives on collaboration within an organization
  • An enthusiastic, motivating manager who can inspire and lead a team within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage a high volume of content priorities across digital and social
  • Experience in obtaining and allocating resources to achieve strategic and operating goals
  • Superior organizational, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for juggling multiple competing projects on tight deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to seamlessly interact with, influence and engage senior leaders and external partners
  • Proven ability to lead a team working in a matrix organization on crossfunctional projects, including Content, Product, Marketing, Technology, Ad Sales/Sponsorship, Business Development, Clubs, Creative and PR
  • Overall knowledge of sports, and passion for the NFL specifically
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Ability to travel approximately 1-3x per quarter to meet with NFL HQ in NY and partners

Job Description

The Vice President, Digital Content is charged with overseeing digital content on the NFL's media properties, social media platforms, and content distribution partners. This executive position will be responsible for crafting a cross-platform content strategy, prioritizing content production activities, and programming across all digital platforms to achieve NFL Media's strategic objectives, including fan reach, engagement and revenue growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute an integrated digital content strategy across owned and operated, and off-platform content distribution platforms
  • Lead digital content programming across NFL.com, NFL Mobile, NFL Fantasy, NFL applications on connected devices, and NFL presence on social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat
  • Prioritize and oversee digital content production efforts, including live streaming, on demand video, highlights, infographics, interactive media and written content
  • Collaborate with content leaders across the Media Group to develop cross-platform content programming that engages fans, drives revenue, and upholds the NFL's brand and editorial standards
  • Work closely with product, integrated sales, media sales, and business development teams to generate revenue growth from digital content efforts
  • Manage social content strategy, operations, policy and execution across departments within the Media Group, League, Clubs and Players
  • Develop and provide ongoing management of the overall digital content budget and resulting KPIs to quantify results
  • Provide vision and leadership through the development and execution of content initiatives to deliver breakthrough customer experiences that are meaningful and innovative
  • Work with Media leadership team to consistently ensure that the strategic direction and operational execution of the digital content group are lock-step with broad organizational goals
