The Tax Accountant Principal will maintain tax records and prepare/review tax returns, related schedules, and related reports. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring the corporation’s compliance with all international, federal, state, and local tax laws.

Prepare and analyze tax records and reports where applicable.

Supervise the preparation of and analysis of tax records and reports.

Coordinate, review, and prepare US local, state, and federal corporate tax returns and non-US corporate tax returns.

Assist with monthly transactional tax (such as VAT, withholding tax) returns including preparation, e-filings, tax payments, and related compliance on a need basis.

Responsible for monthly updates of tax schedules and various reports.

Generate monthly journal entries.

Complete monthly account reconciliations and roll forwards. Review actual invoices as needed to determine applicable taxes.

Complete domestic, international, and specialty tax research as assigned.

Oversee the maintenance of tax software by rolling data over from year to year and reconciling uploaded data to source documents.

Assist with monitoring and facilitating the renewal of the Company’s domestic and international business licenses/registrations provide technical mentorship and develop departmental staff in tax compliance and reporting.

Coordinate internal and external tax audits, outside tax consultants, and tax calendars.

Continue in the OneSource Champion role at DIBS by assisting the team in OneSource functionalities. Provide guidance and assistance to achieve efficiency and proficiency within the OneSource software. 

Assist with general departmental administrative matters.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervise the Tax accountants and review their work for accuracy and completeness.

Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrate proficiency in Word and Excel.

Knowledge of SharePoint and other Microsoft applications is a plus.

Demonstrate proficiency in online tax research applications such as BNA and OneSource.

Knowledge of Income Tax Law, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Knowledge of VAT, payroll taxes, or international tax laws is a plus.

Knowledge of HFM, Hyperion, Costpoint, OneSource, Pinpoint, Blackline, PeopleSoft, On-Base, and Documentum is a plus.

Excellent decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Results-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently.

Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little supervision, and work well under pressure.

Manage a team of 2-3 members, as and when assigned.

Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Tax. MBA/CA IPCC graduate or any additional related certificate would be a plus.

Five (5) to seven (7) years experience in tax or accounting.
