Overview:

We are looking for a "Gerente de Business Technology (Arquiteto de Soluções de Supply Chain e Frete) " to join the Solution Architecture and Engineering Center of Excellence team in the Business Technology (BT) organization. The Solution Architect owns the technical and architectural decisions for the program, valuing simplicity and willing to challenge technical constraints and procedures to achieve agile design. Presents high-grade hands-on experience, actively helping the teams solve the biggest problems. This individual is an executor as well as the visionary force behind the technical solution. Solution Architect is responsible for planning and developing the architectural runway in collaboration with the Enterprise Architect, Dev-Ops, BSAs and product stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • Identifying best approach and architecture for resolve problems, working out plan for execution and aligning with organizational strategy/constraints
  • Work with Product Owner, BSAs and teams to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack.
  • Define and manage approach to technologies, architecture and use of infrastructure in scope of system entrusted to him/her.
  • Works with teams on ensuring architectural and technical alignment withing products being developed.
  • Collaborate with architects/tech leads from other areas on designs and architectural approach.
  • Liaise with onsite and offsite development teams on a daily basis to monitor project progress and architectural alignment by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions. 
  • Maintain contacts with the IT service providers, counterparties and Bunge teams during project execution or support.
  • Lead efforts on process development and standardization in scope of application architecture and corresponding topics

  • Decide on technical shape and strategy for implemented solutions – translating into development efficiency, maintainability and longevity of developed products.
  • Be responsible for best practice definition and implementation.
  • Ensure technical alignment between the products and Bunge standards and established best practices.
  • Responsible for technical design and infrastructure / envorments strategy, including deployments, ensuring these are in-line with MVP, POC, etc, mindse of “emerging architecture”.
  • Identify and remove technical impediments.
  • Look constantly for better ways of solving technical problems and designing solution, not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Provide the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality.

  • Hands-on, with understanding and experience in vast scope of IT technologies, including software engineering practices, integration tools, data storage, communication protocols and industry-established frameworks for software development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 8+ years in similar role (Application Developer, Tech Lead, Architect)
  • Proven experience in architecting and implementing systems in enterprise environment.
  • In-depth understanding of design patterns, architectural patterns and modern IT technologies
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing system requirements, designing solution and implementing required system components.
  • Familiarity with key architectural approaches (e.g. monolith, micro-services, ESB etc.)
  • Experience in designing solutions well suited for development in Agile/Scrum process
  • Experience of mapping business requirements to properties and goals of solution architecture
  • Excellent communication and presentational skills, confident and methodical approach, and able to work within a team environment.
  • Fluency in English
