MW Back Office & Operations Engineer

for our NW Connectivity & Infrastructure Department

Your place in the team 

Complete configuration tasks at transmission network level.

Supporting installation subcontractors working on Site.

Carrying out network configuration tasks without an on-site presence based on the plans of the designers.

Operation and Maintenance of the Vodafone HU microwave network, systems and platforms and services under its responsibility, keep contact with suppliers and internal partners and organizitions.

Provide 24/7/365 operational support for systems and the applications for the related Network area. Active administration, maintenance, and measurement of all operated platforms, monitor the microwave network performance proactively.

You will be involved in the following tasks 

  • Supporting on-site subcontractors during implementation and troubleshooting (adjusted to their schedule)
  • Configuration support for planned works (often after working hours or at night)
  • Self-performed network configuration tasks based on the network engineers' plans.
  • Participation in network wide sw upgrade projects.
  • Close cooperation with peer groups (Operations, Field Service, MW&Access planners, subcontractors)
  • Find and fix network configuration errors. (preventive maintenance)
  • Preparation of documentation and reports
  • Update design documentation (visio drawings) after implementation
  • Trouble Ticket handling from any 1st line operations and handling customer complaints as well
  • Raise problem management tickets
  • Fault analysis and resolution, service continuity assurance
  • Preventive and proactive maintenance of supervised assets, platforms, services
  • Test execution of any operated services, platforms, restoration, solved incidents or any operational purposes
  • Acceptance of sites for operation
  • Capacity monitoring and reporting
  • Services and platforms administration and provisioning
  • Preparation and implementation of NW wide sw upgrades
  • Close cooperation with other teams (NMC, TRM Access planners, MW link planners, Field Operations, VBTS etc.)
  • On call duty

We are looking for you if you have

  • University or college degree in Technology
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Mobile Telecommunication
  • At least 5 years post-qualification working experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the design and construction of transmission networks.
  • Thorough knowledge of the parameters of Huawei RTN, Ceragon, Cambium transmission devices
  • Good overall understanding of Network and IT aspects of a mobile operating company
  • Fluent English
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills.
  • Focused on timely delivery of results while able to judge and make compromise when and where needed.
