Our company is looking for a talented Kubernetes DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Kubernetes DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with developers to architect, build, test, deploy, and operate containerized applications in Kubernetes across multiple cloud and on-prem environments. You will use Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and Kubernetes best practices to ensure our applications are deployed in a scalable, reliable, and efficient manner.

  • Responsibilities:**

Work closely with development teams to define and implement Kubernetes architectures for containerized applications.

Manage Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud and on-prem environments, including Azure Kubernetes Service, Google Kubernetes Engine, Amazon Kubernetes Service, and Rancher Kubernetes Engine.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and Helm to ensure repeatable and consistent deployments.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of applications using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other similar tools.

Monitor Kubernetes clusters and applications for performance, availability, and security using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and JMeter.

Utilize cluster management technologies such as Fleet and Rancher to ensure efficient and reliable deployment across multiple Kubernetes clusters.

Design and execute load testing and performance testing plans on Kubernetes clusters and applications to ensure optimal performance and identify areas of improvement.

Implement efficient storage solutions for Kubernetes clusters using Longhorn, Azure Storage, and other similar tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.

Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities to improve application deployment and operations processes.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Kubernetes and containers.

US Citizen or Green Card holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in software development or operations.
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deployment tools such as Bicep and Helm.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong understanding of containerization and container orchestration concepts.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and JMeter.
  • Experience with load testing and performance testing of containerized applications in Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
