About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and talented Senior Data Solution Engineer with expertise in Data Solutions to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions using Azure and Snowflake data platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, build scalable data pipelines, and ensure optimal performance and reliability of our data architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data solutions leveraging Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics, as well as Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and create solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical capabilities. 
  • Build and maintain efficient data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from various sources into Azure and Snowflake data platforms.
  • In depth knowledge of data engineering discipline, serve as a tech reference for the rest of the team. 
  • Create and maintain optimal solutions aligned to published standards and global data architecture strategy, with focus on automation and orchestration.
  • Optimize data storage, processing, and querying for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement security measures and data governance best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations across Azure and Snowflake environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data solutions, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing necessary optimizations for both Azure and Snowflake platforms.
  • Document technical specifications, data flows, and processes for reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years' hands-on experience with a strong data background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience working with cloud architectures, preferably Azure data services and tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Strong proven experience working with Data platforms, preferably Snowflake data platform, including data loading, querying, and administration.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience in designing and optimizing data pipelines for scalability and performance.
  • Solid programming skills in Java, Python, SQL and automation and scripting.
  • Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Snowflake Certifications will be a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Critical Thinking – need to be able to assess challenges and explore options to bring up the best technical solution to attend to business requirements.
