Summary

We are currently seeking a Buyer, RTW who will report to the Senior Vice President of Merchandising.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Buyer, RTW is responsible for the collection buy and extensive data analysis for the Americas. They collaborate closely with Finance and Planning in all merchandise budgeting, forecasting and planning activities. They monitor sales and key performance indicators for all retail channels: full-price stores, concessions and outlets.

Job Description

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

  • Oversee buying activities during the sales campaign to build the most relevant assortment in line with global strategy (selection, quantities, assortment by store)
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Planning to manage the open-to-buy seasonally
  • Conduct sales and KPIs analysis and define action plans to optimize the business
  • Act as the RTW expert, providing monthly qualitative, quantitative, andcompetitive reports and market needs for Management and Global Merchandising team
  • Evaluate competitive market trends within the luxury environment
  • Communicate and partner with Retail team on business strategies in order to achieve yearly sales plan
  • Manage reorders and inter-store transfers
  • Execute proactive consolidations to ensure profitability and satisfy market’s needs
  • Manage inventory levels, merchandise flow and pricing for all Americas outlet locations
  • Partner with Client Engagement/Training teams in order to align CRM activities and trainings to identify opportunities to develop client base
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising team to ensure successful collection launches and product priorities
  • Partner with Public Relations team to ensure product alignment with local editorials
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Inventory Control teams on pricing and stock flow management
  • Regularly visit Store stores / markets to understand the clientele and needs of each store and provide necessary product training

WHO YOU ARE

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in buying roles, preferably within a luxury retail environment
  • Knowledge of Fashion Industry and market trends
  • Good digital and IT skills, including MS Office
  • Understanding of Sales and Performance KPIs
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize task execution based on business needs
  • Rigor, sense of organization and multi-tasking management
  • Ability to maintain a positive work environment while respecting brand values and behaviours
  • Business acumen
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong product sensibility
  • Ability to travel

COMPENSATION

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, BALENCIAGA includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled. 

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $120,000 USD to $130,000 USD.
