ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Graduate Intern with an interest in the Healthcare policy field, to join this fast-growing practice and gain professional experience in EU public affairs.

FleishmanHillard in Brussels is Europe’s leading EU public affairs and communications consultancy. We have an excellent track record of advising blue chip clients as they navigate regulatory, political and policy issues of substantial commercial and societal significance. Our approach hinges on close partnership, offering deep expertise and applying insight as well as creativity to our clients’ issues.

Our Healthcare team consists of 6 full-time consultants advising a range of organizations including blue-chip international healthcare companies, health associations and campaigning charities. We develop integrated communications campaigns that engage a wide range of audiences, addressing regulatory issues and matters of political importance. Specifically, we advise our clients on their dialogue and negotiations with EU and pan-European policy makers and institutions and develop the wider advocacy strategies that support this engagement. We also work closely with European patient advocacy associations.

What you will do

  • You will assist in the implementation of market-leading public affairs programmes for global accounts.
  • Based on your daily monitoring of relevant information sources and reporting on key developments, you will assist with preparing draft reports, presentations and issue analysis relevant to our clients.
  • You will support the organisation of stakeholder events.

Who you are

  • You are a student currently doing, or have just completed, their bachelor or master in university courses such as political science where there is a strong European focus, or global or public health. Or you have already acquired some relevant previous work experience or internship
  • You have a good understanding of EU policymaking and a true interest in the healthcare sector
  • You have a basic understanding of the healthcare sector and of policy issues most impacting that sector
  • You must have excellent oral and written communication in English; fluency in one or more other languages is a plus
  • You are committed to the highest standards of service delivery
  • You can manage multiple issues and deadlines
  • You have an entrepreneurial and creative approach to problem solving
  • You can build and maintain trusting relationships
  • You are a dynamic, supportive, collaborative and willing team player
