The Snacktory is a specialized creative and production group within DigitasLBi Studios. Our mission: transform our clients' existing content into eye-popping videos, visually compelling infographics and more. 


To help with this, we’re looking for an outstanding Associate Director, Motion Designer – someone who can work alongside our team of writers, editors, designers, animators and producers to generate unique visual assets that make today's fickle audiences sit up and take notice. What you’ll do:  


As Associate Director, you’ll manage a steady stream of requests from multiple clients looking for high-quality, intelligent, creative design and motion. Our process is streamlined to let our creative team do what they do best, and the ability to work independently is critical.



Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Quickly and clearly communicating timelines and work effort to producers
  • Absorbing complex source material and helping to clarify it through design and motion
  • Managing time efficiently while switching gears between different clients with various looks and feels
  • Providing creative input on all initial scripts
  • Collaborating with video editors to rapidly concept and execute animations that work alongside live-action footage
  • Assisting producers in managing motion designers as they organize and prepare projects
  • Being creative and able to own the visual direction/concept
  • Maintaining a brand’s visual standards while pushing the creative envelope


We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent post experience
  • 7-9 years in a post-production environment with a high volume content practice
  • A portfolio of design and animation work for clients big and/or small, especially across demanding industries such as technology, finance and healthcare
  • Ability to support video editors to source footage and still photography
  • Creativity and innovative problem solving skills required
  • Strong knowledge of related technology and systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and creative sensibility
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software suite; Final Cut Pro a plus
  • Expert knowledge of C4D, After Effects and Premiere
