Manager, Client Services

This is a new role in the fastest growing division of Townsquare Media, a $500MM, public and profitable, cross platform media company.

The Manager, Client Services is a critical member of our leadership team in the Programmatic / Audience Extension group. The ideal candidate has been where we're going. Over the first 2 years we've double our revenues each year, and we fully expect to continue doubling revenues over the next two year. We are taking our Account Management team and maturing our practice into a first class, industry leading Client Services organization.

We're looking for someone who can lead from the front, is hands on, solutions oriented, nimble and can work collaboratively and effective across an organization from sales, media buying, operations, product, and engineering. This is an early stage, entrepreneurial group looking for a strong voice, with expertise in data driven digital sales, audience extension and advanced audience targeting solutions utilizing 1st and 3rd party data.

The role is based in Manhattan, NY where our entire team is centered. It reports to our Sr. Director of Client Services who is also based in Manhattan, NY.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Grow and develop a professional Client Service group (9-12 team members), supporting our local, regional and national sales teams
  • Lead the Client Service team’s day to day Order processing, Activation and Optimization
  • Ensure all campaigns are launched on the expected start date with all tactics correctly implemented
  • Oversee all communication between Account Management and Sales to ensure timely, and comprehensive response with the express intent of fostering adoption of the Ignite solutions
  • Troubleshoot with active campaigns while providing solutions and support as needed
  • Effectively monitor all phases of active campaigns, keeping clients, respective internal and external stakeholders informed while managing excellent follow through and professionalism
  • Be a player/coach personally servicing our most strategic key accounts across the country, including but not limited to Quarterly Business Reviews and Campaign Wrap reports.
  • Be the direct point of contact for your markets’ sales leadership and senior management
  • Be the domain expert, and conduct ongoing training and new ad solutions education for your markets
  • Offer our clients and our sales teams first class experience as they adopt our industry leading audience drive digital ad targeting solutions

Skills/Qualifications

  • 6+ years in Clients Services, solely in digital media sales
  • 2+ years effectively managing and developing teams
  • Sales Oriented (this is not an ops role, you are part of the sales process)
  • Demonstrable experience building and leading teams, maturing processes, implementing platforms
  • Comfort with engaging Clients
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs and provide a pro-active recommendations and solutions
  • Experience with Local sales, high volume of clients and broad range of seller knowledge
  • Deep understanding of the programmatic advertising technology ecosystem
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams; ability to be personable yet persistent
  • High energy, self-motivated and passionate about working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
  • Capability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment and start-up atmosphere
  • Strong time management and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
