The role
The Financial Compliance IT Specialist is a vital supporting role responsible for providing complementary IT expertise, data analytic, monitoring, in the management of risk within the organization. Critical requirement is an expertise in MS Power platforms like: Automate, Apps, BI, and good understanding of ServiceNow. Strong analytical knowledge is a must. The primary objective is to ensure the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of robust risk management practices, including internal controls, at process, systems, and entity levels.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Financial Compliance IT Specialist plays a supporting role in developing, implementing, and continuously improving risk management practices within the organization. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks, assess their impact on the organization, and develop strategies to mitigate or control them effectively. These risk management practices should align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
The Financial Compliance IT specialist is responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of robust internal control systems across all business processes and functions. This includes assessing existing controls, identifying gaps or weaknesses, and implementing necessary enhancements to safeguard the organization's assets, data, and reputation.
Monitoring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and acceptable ethical behavior is a critical aspect of the role. The Financial Compliance IT specialist should ensure that the organization adheres to relevant financial, legal, and ethical standards.
The Financial Compliance IT specialist will collaborate with IT and information security teams to assess and enhance information and technology security measures.
Testing is foreseen to be a key responsibility and area where Financial Compliance IT Specialist would dedicate most of the time and efforts. The Financial Compliance IT specialist will conduct thorough testing and generate comprehensive reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management practices, including internal controls. These reports will be presented to senior management and relevant stakeholders, providing valuable insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.

The Financial Compliance IT specialist will actively drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This involves identifying opportunities to enhance risk management processes and internal controls, implementing best practices, and staying updated with emerging trends in financial compliance and risk management.
Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders on compliance requirements, internal controls, and their role in maintaining a compliant and risk-aware culture.
