Senior Tax Editor

We are responsible for creating, editing, and updating content for books, journals, law compilations, and digital products offered by Thomson Reuters. Editorial Operations is made up of a team of people from different professions (lawyers, accountants, graphic designers, programmers, among other disciplines). About the Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Tax Editor, you will:

  • Drafting new content and updating existing material that interprets and/or explains developments and changes in taxes, accounting, auditing, and other specialized guidelines related to fiscal matters.
  • Collaborating with external authors to analyze, assist, develop, and organize specialized content aimed at presenting complex information to clients through printed and digital products.
  • Analyzing legislation (both new and existing), regulations, standards, rulings, and other official materials and pronouncements in tax, accounting, auditing, and other specialized guidelines related to fiscal and accounting matters.
  • Reviewing, verifying, and editing material from internal and external contributors to ensure accuracy, integrity, and quality. Ensuring that information is correctly presented and organized.
  • Actively participating in the improvement of editorial and product processes by effectively communicating with project team members and other departments, if necessary, to ensure workflow enhancement and compliance with quality standards and deadlines for content delivery.

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, tax, and/or legislative analysis in those areas.
  • You are capable of planning and prioritizing effectively and then efficiently managing yourself, other resources, processes, and tools to successfully deliver value-creation projects.
  • Search and manage new editorial projects based on trends, reforms, or new topics.
  • Explore content by the publishing imprint to propose possible alliances with authors and law firms.
  • Generate, analyze, and contribute opinions to new editorial projects together with the editorial team.
  • Manage actions related to the creative process.
  • Analyze legal texts and technical opinions.
  • To enforce the timely completion of the projects under his/her responsibility.
  • Promote the implementation of continuous improvement methods.
  • You have excellent spelling and writing skills.
  • You could work in a highly technological environment.
  • You could learn from the use of new software and systems.
  • You know and know how to use classification and identification tools (Legislative Information System, IUS, Azure, Excel, etc.).
