Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Become the expert in consumer and market information to support the strategy and future growth of Philips KA and Air business globally through strong recommendations based on profound consumer and market understanding. You are the Go-To person for all consumer and marker related questions.

You are responsible for

  • Support business through consumer research in crafting and leading the delivery of locally relevant go-to-market plans
  • Yearly research plan by identifying needs for consumer research and own research budget.
  • Initiating, conducting and implementing consumer research.
  • Supporting the business to translate consumer insights into breakthrough innovations as well optimizing and validating incremental innovation.
  • Develop and optimize communication, design, packaging and go-to-market for new innovations.
  • Assessment of market potential of new propositions incl. volume forecasts
  • Responsible for Tracking and reporting monthly performance of Air business, monitoring key indicators including market share, pricing, distribution of Philips and competition
  • Deep dives: conduct additional analysis to identify root causes for market and market share developments providing insights to develop corrective actions and/or identify opportunities
  • Contributing to BG growth by providing actionable market and competitor insights to support business development, strategic planning, innovation roadmap

You are a part of

Global Consumer & Market Intelligence team (CMI), Kitchen Appliance and Air, reporting to CMI Head, Domestic Appliance (DA)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor Degree as minimum, with 8-10 years of working experience in the area of consumer- and market intelligence. Preferable experience both business side (from a multinational or fast paced environment) and market research agency side.
  • Strong consumer research experience but also good skills in data analysis, esp, retail data analysis skills are also required.
  • Proactive personality is important for this person to work with Marketing team and Consumer Research Agency as well.
  • Good consultative and communication skills so you can convey your findings and knowledge to marketing teams and act as a business partner.
  • Good project management skills; ability to plan & prioritize.
  • Business fluency in English (written & verbal). Responsible, taking ownership.
  • Strong drive to achieve high-quality results.
  • Strong team player.
