Job Description:

DXC Technology is looking for Data Engineer with experience in Google Platform to join Analytics Service Line.

DXC Analytics is focused on providing customers innovative solutions and high added value, in the following areas: Analytics Solutions and Services, Big Data Platforms, Information Governance, Business Intelligence & Data Management, Artificial Intelligence and IoT Analytics.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develops google pipeline to customers using Functional/Technical skills, building a trusted relationship with key users
  • Gather requirements and write high quality technical documents
  • Works under supervision of technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Mathematics
  • Knowledge on Big Data
  • Good Knowledge of Google Platform Components:
  • Big Query
  • Cloud Function
  • Airflow
  • Data Flow
  • Pubsub
  • Dataproc
  • 2-3 years of experience developing ETL process, performing data manipulation and data analysis
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong knowledge / practice in at least one language (preferably Python, or Scala, Java, etc.)
  • Business problem solving, critical thinking and information analysis
  • Proactivity and ability to work in teams
  • Focus on the goals
  • Attention to details and constant attention to quality
  • Proficient English (both oral and written)

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of devops-oriented processes and tools
  • Any Google Cloud Certification
  • Availability to travel

Location: Rome with remote possibility
