Business Environment & Purpose

As the IT Services Category Lead, you'll redefine global category practices for IT Services, focusing on capacity Based Services. Maximize cost savings and procurement value by crafting and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives. Your role is pivotal in defining global category strategies across EUROPE .

To cover a maternity leave, we are looking for someone on fixed-term contract between mid-June and the end of December.

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities:

  • Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline. Understands how own area contributes to the business. Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports junior team members.
  • Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.
  • Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations.

Specific accountabilities:

  • Analyse internal purchasing or sourcing request and determine the most appropriate source.
  • Organize and follow RFP process in cooperation with internal customer.
  • Select vendors and lead price and contract terms negotiations, taking into account customer needs and Amadeus policies and business conducts.
  • Evaluate suppliers and manage relationship.
  • Monitor internal customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report purchasing activity.
  • Define and implement purchasing action plan.
  • Check the efficiency of the action plan.
  • Suggest and ensure process improvement.
