Job Summary:


As a Data Analyst in the Centralized Operations Data Analytics group, you will be responsible for using Analytics tools to derive information from data stored in silos. Develop use cases and data visualizations. Deliver value to the business from data analysis and document, catalog, profile, cleanse and audit the data.


Create simple schemas and search indexes for each data set. Create standard profiles, and continually advocate for new data and improved data.



  • Provide reporting on the status of severity issues, actions, and resolutions during shift. Review incidents, changes and requests, making recommendations on trends such as excessive aging or incomplete troubleshooting of tickets. Maintain compliance to avoid risks of system outages or compromised data.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and problem determination/resolution as it relates to trends in areas such as Backup, incidents, change orders and system metrics including capacity planning. Report and analyze system event and monitoring data and identify areas for automation
  • Assist Data Center Operations managers in reviewing incidents, changes and requests, making recommendations on trends such as excessive aging or incomplete troubleshooting of tickets through the use of data visualization and dashboards
  • Conducts statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification. Manages all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems. Maintains analytical systems, data repositories and verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with data owners.
  • Gather reporting and analysis requirements and translate into reporting structures data models, including aggregate tables, relational and dimensional. Profile and analyze source data to determine the best reporting structures.



  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • 4+ years of successfully designing and implementing data-centric applications, such as data warehouses, operational data stores, analytical engines and data integration projects.

Knowledge and skills:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience working with ETL software; Talend is a plus
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and enterprise analytics platforms that deliver dashboards, visualizations; Tableau is a plus
  • Experience or educational background in Statistics using R, R Studio and / or SAS
  • Experience working with Open Source Databases Management systems – MongoDB, MySQL and other.
  • Strong development skills in python
  • Experience with Hadoop, Sqoop, Flume, Hive, Kafka

Other requirements:


Work with Operations teams to understand business requirements, independently design, develop, unit test and implement processes to extract data from sources such as SQL Databases, unstructured data sources, Kafka, JSON and XML sources and load into a SQL, NOSQL and Hadoop Data platforms using Talend Studio.

  • Analysis of business requirements and defining technical specifications
  • Use of Advanced SQL for data analysis and validating loaded data.
  • Develop the data integration pipeline with Talend Studio and conduct needed unit and integration testing.
  • Provide support to QA and UAT teams during testing of solutions.
