Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Night Foreman to oversee the nightly cleaning and maintenance operations at our Class A commercial building. The Night Lead will be responsible for managing a team of janitorial staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards, and that the building is ready for daily operations. This role involves hands-on work as well as supervisory duties, ensuring that all areas of the building are clean, safe, and well-maintained throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision: Lead and supervise the night shift cleaning crew, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and to company standards.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Oversee and participate in nightly cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and other janitorial tasks as required.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure that the building meets cleanliness and maintenance standards. Address any issues immediately and report recurring problems to the building manager.

Safety Compliance: Ensure that all cleaning procedures comply with safety regulations, including the proper use of chemicals and equipment. Provide safety training to staff as needed.

Inventory Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are available and in good working condition. Place orders for supplies when necessary.

Problem Solving: Respond to and resolve any emergencies or issues that arise during the night, such as spills, equipment malfunctions, or security concerns.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of nightly activities, including staff attendance, completed tasks, and any incidents or maintenance issues that require follow-up.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in janitorial or building maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Experience in a Class A commercial building is strongly preferred.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and ensure high-quality performance from staff.

Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and building maintenance procedures.

Attention to Detail: Ability to spot and address cleaning and maintenance issues before they become problems, ensuring a pristine environment.

Problem Solving: Strong ability to handle unexpected issues or emergencies calmly and effectively, making quick decisions when necessary.

Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting heavy objects, standing and walking for extended periods, and performing physical labor during the night shift.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and maintain detailed records.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: OSHA certification, first aid/CPR certification, or other relevant safety certifications.

Bilingual: Proficiency in [specific languages, if applicable].
