Novant Health is hiring for a Radiology registered nurse for the day shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, North Carolina. We’re offering up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus as well as $7,500 relocation. 

  • Schedule: Full-Time, 0.8 FTE, 64 Hours per 2 weeks, Day shift (7am-3pm)

About the Radiology Department: 

We’re seeking a registered nurse to join our Radiology Team! In our Radiology unit, we have excellent hours with little call time on the weekends, which helps to promote a great team environment. Working closely with other nurses and techs, you will support acute patients in a procedural setting, where there is a one-on-one patient to nurse ratio

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. 
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required. 
  • BLS certification required. 
  • One-year relevant or critical care experience preferred.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients IV and port access. 
  • Monitor vital signs and administer medication via IVs. 
  • Support the Radiologist by assisting in certain procedures, such as MRIs. 
  • Manage the sedation of patients. 
  • Work autonomously and think critically.
