Infrastructure & Operations Engineering Consultant - Citrix Admin

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting Level I System Admin in solving basic technical problems and for investigating elevated issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking for known solutions related to these more complex issues. Responsible for assisting with project research and design, deployment and implementation and consultative support in a team environment
  • Administers and supports Citrix and Citrix NetScaler technologies
  • Participates in the implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring of Citrix system to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications
  • Maintains inventory and asset configuration documentation. Manages and deploys multiple high availability Citrix farms. Manages redundant pairs of Citrix Netscalers
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Provides IT and end user training where required
  • Carries out Tier II system management responsibilities
  • Proactively monitors and reports on the Citrix Environment and troubleshoots any problems. Ensures backup and restores functionality of Citrix
  • Performs planned maintenance of Citrix environment. Participates in On Call Rotation 24/7
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or related field required. Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems preferred. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Applicant must have 6 to 9 years of relevant experience with the following:
  • 6+ years of documented experience with Citrix or related technologies
  • 6+ years of documented experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory required
  • 3+ years of designing, deploying, and maintaining citric remote apps and desktops environments
  • 3+ years of designing, deploying, and maintaining a multi-host Citrix adc environment
  • Understanding of 3-tiered application and platform architecture and related troubleshooting
  • Citrix technologies (XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler experience preferred)
