Full Stack Developer

The Corporate Systems development team is building out an enhanced platform in support of the incentive compensation calculation processes. Corporate Systems work closely with business stakeholders to understand the complex comp agreements, translate them into technical specifications and build out solutions that meet those requirements. We will implement our tech stack on AWS leveraging Kafka and AWS technologies such as Elasticache, S3, AWS CodePipelines, EC2, SQS, AWS Lambdas and RDS. Our middleware platform is on .net core and will interface with these cloud services.

You’ll be working with developers from across the firm who build end user web applications and services in support of our business processes. The right candidate will have great interpersonal skills and a willingness to go above and beyond when collaborating with Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Build application components to communicate with streaming services
  • Provide users access to datasets by building and enhancing REST APIs
  • Implement business logic and interface with SaaS platforms like (Salesforce, Workday and Appian)
  • Communicating with business users and technology stakeholders

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • 5+ years of Relational Database development experience with strong knowledge writing complex SQL and Stored Procedures
  • Programming experience with a strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming & C#, .NET Core
  • Experiencing using Angular/Typescript or similar tools
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful services
  • Experience creating storyboards, user flows, and wireframes to communicate interaction and design ideas

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Prior experience building rule based calculation engines is important. Knowledge of incentive compensation is a big plus.
  • Excellent listening and communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Self-starter and critical thinker, takes ownership of own projects and makes improvement suggestions for the entire infrastructure.
  • Proactive, assertive and attentive to details.
  • Can work independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent self-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work on multiple streams of work

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with proficiency in at least one framework such as Angular, React/Redux, or Ember
  • UNIX familiarity would be a plus
  • Knowledge of hosting applications in AWS and working knowledge of Linux OS
